About Me
My name is Thomas Ambler, and I’m a retired Scotsman living in a village just north of Glasgow. Born in 1959, I’ve been married since 1981, and after many years of working, I retired in 2023.
Retirement has given me the freedom to follow two things I’ve always enjoyed—travel and photography. These days, I spend much of my time travelling around Europe in my motorhome, discovering new places, meeting new people and enjoying the freedom of life on the road.
My main passion is wildlife and landscape photography. I love being outdoors and capturing the character, beauty and sometimes unexpected moments that nature has to offer. From dramatic mountain scenery and peaceful landscapes to wildlife in its natural surroundings, photography gives me a reason to slow down, explore and appreciate the world around me.
Travelling through Europe in my motorhome has become the perfect way to combine these passions. It allows me to go wherever the scenery, wildlife or simply curiosity takes me, always with my camera close at hand.
For me, photography isn't just about taking pictures—it’s about experiencing places, being outdoors and preserving memories of the incredible moments and landscapes I encounter along the way.
